Plagiarism Policy – Khazanah: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat

The Editorial Board of Khazanah views plagiarism as a serious academic offence. To uphold scholarly integrity, the following policy and penalties apply:

Similarity Screening

  • All manuscripts are screened with Turnitin (or equivalent) before review and again before publication.

  • A similarity index exceeding 20 percent (excluding references and quotations with correct citation) will result in the manuscript being returned to the author for revision and resubmission.

Levels of Plagiarism & Sanctions

Level Definition Action
Minor Limited verbatim text copied without proper citation, no ideas or data taken. Formal warning; authors must revise the text and add correct citations.
Intermediate Substantial text or sections copied without attribution. Manuscript rejected; all listed authors barred from submitting to Khazanah for one year.
Severe Extensive plagiarism involving reproduction of original data, results, or ideas. Manuscript rejected; all listed authors barred from submitting for five years.

Author Responsibility

All authors share equal responsibility for the manuscript’s originality. Submission implies full awareness and acceptance of this policy as well as khazanah's copyright and licensing terms. Penalties apply collectively to every author listed on a plagiarised work.
