ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the background that human development does not receive adequate attention from policy makers. Now the nature of development that has been carried out, which is said to be not centered on humans as desired by the new paradigm of human development. Especially Zakat as part of Islamic philanthropy (Islamic law) has not been able to become a benchmark in improving human development oriented towards welfare and benefit.
The purpose of this study, to analyze the influence of Zakat, Fiscal, Economic Growth, and Poverty on the Human Development in Banten Province. It is known that the benchmarks of human development used so far are fiscal, economic growth and poverty only
The framework of thought in this study refers to the grand theory, Imam Al-Syatibi. This research uses a quantitative approach, with a descriptive analysis method. The location of this research is in Banten Province. The data of sekunder with secondary data interval 2010-2019, and descriptive analysis method. The data collection using observation and documentation techniques. While the data analysis is through the classical assumption test, normality test and hypothesis testing. This study uses Statistical Package Science (SPSS) version 26.0 as a tool. In addition, researchers also included other independent variables such as fiscal, economic growth and poverty as comparison variables from zakat variables.
The results of this study indicate that: Zakat is a higher and positive and significant correlation between the variables of zakat on the human development index (HDI), meaning that the higher the role of zakat the higher the Human Development Index (HDI). Zakat is the highest variable in its correlation to human development. Therefore, it is recommended to related parties, namely the local government, BAZNAS and the muzakki to synergize to develop human development policy programs in Banten province.
