Mahar Dalam Perspektif Pernikah

Abstract

The purpose of this research is that a dowry is a gift from the groom to the bride as proof of their sincerity to increase their affection and love for them. The dowry can be in the form of money or objects with a price value, clean, and can be used. Not only that, the dowry is a wife's right as a fact of love and a husband's obligation, even though it is not included in the articles of marriage. A dowry or dowry in accordance with the provisions and conditions of the Islamic religion is an asset that a husband must give to his future wife sincerely and without expecting anything in return. The research used is qualitative using secondary data in the form of books and the opinions of scholars. While the results found in the form of the concept of dowry in Islam is not something that is harmonious or a requirement in marriage, however, scholars agree that dowry is mandatory.
