Abstract

Based on Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees, all food products circulating in Indonesia must be certified halal. However, based on the incident that occurred in Karangraharja Village, North Cikarang District, a lot of home-cooked food supplied through delivery services does not carry the halal label. Therefore, this research is interesting to carry out. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out how the buying and selling of home-cooked food is done through delivery services, as well as how sharia economic law is applied to home-cooked food that is not labeled halal.

This research uses social and qualitative methodology to investigate law empirically. Primary data sources are data sources obtained by the author directly through interviews with home food traders. Secondary data sources are supporting data sources obtained from books, theses, journals and papers. The data analysis method used is an inductive descriptive analysis method which is relevant to this research.

Based on research conducted by the Karangraharja Village Community, some people produce their own food to sell both locally and online and work as traders to make ends meet. Food that is not labeled does not have information regarding the ingredients used in non-halal food packaging, as well as clear composition. To prevent fraud and/or unfair treatment from society towards consumers, especially those who buy food, it is important for consumers to know the ingredients used in their food. The application of Islamic Economic Law in accordance with Islamic law is very necessary in carrying out marketing activities, this can be done by connecting the concepts of Islamic economic law.
