In the modern world, this research explores how Islamic law protects women's rights. Through qualitative methodology, this research gathered information from relevant literature, spoke with Islamic law experts, and reviewed court records from several countries where the majority of the population is Muslim. Based on research, the foundation for advancing justice and gender equality lies in Islamic legal concepts such as maqasid al-syariah. Although challenges to conservative interpretations remain, some countries have implemented legal measures to improve the protection of women's rights. Islamic law better protects women's rights when progressive religious education, active participation of women in decision making, and the role of women academics and activists occur. The complex dynamics of efforts to achieve gender justice are fully understood thanks to this research in the context of Islamic law in the modern era.
Keywords: Islamic Law, Women's Rights, Gender Justice.
